Clare Hawley

From her studio in Glenleraig, in the Highlands of Scotland, Clare produces jewellery based on natural forms from the glen, using traditional silversmithing techniques. Having a mother who was registered blind, she made very tactile pieces for her. Since then she continues to be drawn to bold shapes and textures and has always been heavily influenced by the areas in which she has lived, including Sherwood Forest and, now permanently, the Scottish Highlands.
