Yvonne Costello

Yvonne is a professionally trained, self-employed architect. Her interest in the built environment stems from childhood and she has always been curious about how architecture is sculpted to form structures with which we interact and admire. Her passion for art runs parallel with this, being largely self-taught as an artist. Using a range of media to lay depth and life in the scenes, her interest in the urban grain and the perspective of street scenes translates into her artwork.

Living in Alne, she has easy access to the North Yorkshire countryside, whilst also being near York, which is abundant in rich and characterful street scenes. Being based here, Yvonne has made a collection of views along these well-known, cobbled paths, with the monumental Minister in sight.
